Born and raised in the far North of Manitoba in a little known mining town called Thompson, Mikkal Waters seemed destined to wander amongst the tundra and polar bears in a drunken stupor searching for something he would never know or find... until...

On a chartered bus with a group of pre-pubesant teens Mikkal hit the road on a snowboard trip to the wild west, to witness for himself the infamous Rocky Mountains he'd often heard tall tales of. And from the moment he laid his eyes on their veluptuous peaks, Mikkal knew deep down there was no turning back to his home town, ever.  Except that he really really needed to earn that oh so relevant badge of honor known as high school diploma, so he did did go back for that. But Immediately thereafter Mikkal packed his bags for the mountains of BC and never ever ever looked back again ever.

Though Mikkals path led him to get bounced around the globe a bit, these days he lives quite happily in a deep dark stretch of BC forest in the Sunny Okanagan with a few of his kindred friends and family. While he's not yodelling to festival goers Mikkal wanders in the wild, writes, sings, and even dances a jig or two when it suits his fancy.

Who knows what will come out of the soul of man? The soul of man is a dark vast forest, with wild life in it.
